Q. Why should I purchase Sun Trip Preserver travel insurance?
A. You’ve been planning this vacation for months, maybe even years, and just before you leave, you become ill and a physician orders you not to travel. Or maybe a family member of yours or your traveling companion suddenly passes away. Red Sky’s Sun Trip Preserver protects you before your departure, during your trip, and on your trip home. A wide range of unforeseen events could cancel or interrupt your travel plans; such as sickness, injury, death, jury duty, job loss or transfer and more. Sun Trip Preserver coverage reimburses the non-refundable cancellation penalties for trip cancellation, trip interruption, travel delay, baggage delay, lost or stolen personal items, emergency accident and sickness medical expense and emergency evacuation, and 24-hour assistance services for covered reasons.
Q. What are the Travel Insurance Benefits?
A. Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption & Delayed Arrival (Covers Trip Costs up to $100,000, Per Booking)
You will receive financial reimbursement of your prepaid, non-refundable vacation rental costs if a covered unforeseen event causes you to cancel or interrupt your trip. An unforeseen event is defined as not anticipated or expected and occurring after the Effective Date; covered events include sickness, injury or death of you, a family member or traveling companion, a traffic accident while en route to your destination, jury duty, job loss, military leave revocation, uninhabitability of your primary place of residence or vacation destination within 10 days of your scheduled departure date, road closure for 12 hours or more.
$750 Trip Delay ($200/Day, Per Person)
You will be reimbursed if you are delayed for 12 hours or more while en route to, during or returning from Your Trip due to a covered Travel Hazard; including delay of a common carrier, traffic accident, lost/stolen passport, road closure, injury, sickness or death of you, a family member or a travelling companion. We will reimburse you, the insured, for the expenses you may incur for additional hotel nights, meals and local transportation while you are delayed.
$1,000 Baggage Delay ($200/day, Per Person)
If your baggage is delayed 12 hours or more from your time of arrival, you will be reimbursed for the cost of reasonable additional clothing and personal items.
$1,250 Baggage and Personal Effects (Per Person)
Reimburses you if your baggage and personal effects are permanently lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed while you are on your trip.
$25,000 Medical Expense & $1,000 Emergency Dental Treatment (Primary Coverage, Per Person)
If you or a traveling companion require emergency medical treatment as the result of an accidental injury while on your trip, we provide up to $25,000 of coverage for medical services incurred; including x-ray examinations or treatments, laboratory tests, and prescription drugs. You and your traveling companions are covered up to $1,000 for expenses incurred during your trip for emergency dental treatment.
$525,000 Emergency Evacuation & Repatriation of Remains (Per Person)
Covers medical evacuation and transportation of you or a traveling companion to the nearest Hospital or medical facility where Medically Necessary treatment is available (or home if medically required or in the event of death).
$25,000 Rental Car Damage Coverage (Per Car)
Covers cost of repairs to your rental car for damage due to collision, theft, vandalism, fire, hail, flood or any other causes not in Your Control, up to the limit of coverage, for which the car rental contract holds you responsible.
The following non-insurance services are included and provided by Red Sky Travel Insurance:
Worldwide emergency assistance service; including Medical or Legal Referral, Medical Evacuation, Repatriation of Remains, Lost Baggage Retrieval, Emergency Cash Advance*, and Prescription Drug/Eyeglass Replacement*.

24-Hour Toll-Free Emergency Roadside Assistance is available throughout the United States and Canada, 365 days a year; including assistance with towing, battery services, flat tires and collisions.
Q. Are the travel insurance benefits listed per person or per booking?
A. The benefits for Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption are the total per booking/trip cost. All other benefits (baggage delay, emergency accident & sickness medical expense, accidental death, etc.) are per person, with the exception of Rental Car Collision Damage Waiver which provides coverage per rental car.
Q. Will my current homeowners, renters, credit card, or health insurance policies cover me during my trip?
A. Other insurance policies may not offer coverage while you are traveling due to benefit limits, territory restrictions and deductibles. The Sun Trip Preserver travel insurance includes a wide range of travel benefits which homeowners, credit card and health insurance policies may not provide. For example, not all credit cards will provide coverage for emergency medical evacuation and restrict coverage from customers with pre-existing conditions.

A. All claims forms are available by clicking the “File a Claim” button at the top of the Trip Preserver web site, http://trippreserver.com/sun-trip.html. You will find the required supporting documents for each type of claim listed on each claim form, which can be used as a convenient checklist for submitting your claim.
