I loved all aspects of the apartment. We only had concerns with 2 issues. One...the mattress was in need of being replaced. It had lumps and indents that made you feel like you were sleeping in a hole at times or sliding off the bed. The A/C may be in need of maintenance, it sounded like a plane taking off periodically and was incredibly annoying during the nights as you would sleep and it would all of a sudden get loud.
As for the size, perfect for 2 people. It was very clean and the dishes and amenities were of great help. The washer and drying machines were being replaced during the week we stayed, so we were unable to fully take advantage of them but luckily we packed enough clothes. The bathroom was modern, but could not figure out how to work the exhaust fan. The shower was a great size. The closet was filled with extras related to a good day at the beach, just the availability was very nice. We did use the bags for diving in the closet. We did return them. The parking was great so close to the door, made for easy entry and exit from the building to start our day.
It was nice to have a pool, but it was not very inviting. Can't beat the ocean. The fact you had a rinsing station at the entry after a day at the beach was very nice.

Location is awesome! Overall the condo was great! Just a few minor suggestions to improve the overall stay. I didn’t mind the window AC unit however the location is not the best for airflow. It blows directly into the side of the bed and under the bed which is not great for cooling the condo. I had to use the box fan that was provided to direct the air from the unit upward into the rest of the room. My suggestion would be to rearrange the furniture for better airflow. The AC unit also would become very loud and “roar” to the point it was just about impossible to hear anything else. The kitchen was very nice, small but nice. The appliances were new and allowed from some cooking so eating out every night wasn’t necessary. That’s good on the budget. The bathroom was also nice and the shower was awesome! My only suggestions there would be a shower head that can be moved, adjusted up or down. I’m 5’8” and was perfect for me but anyone taller would have to bend and stoop or rely on the handheld option to accommodate reaching the top of their head. Also the bathroom became VERY hot due to the bulbs used in the fixture. Changing these out to the twisted florescent bulbs would elevate the amount of heat generated by the standard bulbs being used. And because the airflow from the AC unit does not reach the bathroom, this simple change would make a world of difference. Overall an awesome stay in Kihei. I would recommend but making sure others knew about the AC unit challenges and the bathroom challenges.. Simple fixes that would make the stay a 5 star!

This is a clean nice place to stay for vacation. Located in Kihei, you are in center location 15-20 mins to airport, close to Wailea & 20 to 30 mins drive to Lahaina. This place has good kitchen, spacious for a studio, nice balcony. The neighborhood is good, you get free parking. There is laundry down stairs (coin or app operated). Safeway is 10 -12 mins drive. Food trucks 2-3 mins drive.

The beach is just crossing the street, complex is just 1 mile away from the mall azeka, complex has pool, tennis court. In the studio we found everything that we needed and more. The studio is in a corner so the balcony is bigger, close to the laundry. We just recommend cleaning the lounge chair in the balcony. We tried to wipe it, but it really needs a good scrubbing.

Right from my initial booking in late 2019 the folks at AA Oceanfront Rentals were positively responsive with my inquiries, assisted with an easy, streamlined check in, as well were available for further inquiries/support during my stay in Maui. As for the lovely condo unit, a studio it was perfect for my needs as I traveled solo to attend my sons wedding (just the parents attended). The condo was delightfully bright and airy, the lanai expansive with a view of sunrises through the tropical background forest, perfect for enjoying morning coffee. Basic cooking utensils, dishes, and appliances including the necessary Oster blender available in suite. The resort is quaint, quiet and friendly with many fulltime condo owners on site. The pool and bbq facilities went unused as for me the ocean is where its at. A few beach supplies available included snorkeling gear, beach chairs and beach towels. Lovely beach park across street from KBS, nice for the little ones as water shallow and protected with a breakwater as well good spot for morning yoga and amazing sunsets. Regularly scheduled pest fumigation through entire building, so I did not come across any bugs. On the downside, the bed is well used, the bed linens polyester, few cleaning supplies and no floor wash. Could have used a small stereo as only tv available. Resident roosters are in their own time zone, waking tenants in wee hours (bring ear plugs). It appears fowl of all sorts have overtaken the island. However, none of this mattered or stopped me from thoroughly enjoying every waking moment on Maui, from the rain storms, island scents, beautiful beaches and of course the most amazing hospitality and genuineness of the locals. With the covid uncertainty (respectful of issues for locals and visitors alike) wishing you good health, strength and courage through this troubling and uncertain time, Mahalo

Love this condo and love the idea of renting the whole condo unit out. First time being in Maui and was looking for a relaxing place to stay in with kitchen so we can save some budget of eating out. This condo was perfect for us, small and compact space with all we need inside the condo. The place is super clean. We are super picky about washroom but in here, we have no issue at all. Love the kitchen area with new appliances like the fridge and microwaves. All tools are included too! Super handy when come into use. All you need to care about is your own groceries like oil and salt. We enjoy the private experience living here. Highly recommended!!!

Wife and I staid here on our first ever visit to Maui. We only stayed a few days so our options were limited and hotel nightly costs were extremely high. We were happy to choose Kihei Bay Surf 233, it was a simple studio in the town of Kihei right across from the beach. We enjoyed our simple stay, recommended if you want a place to stay without the need for all the resort glamour. Everything from reservation, to stay, to checkout was great.

On arrival the ac had to be immediately replaced, which was much appreciated. The mattress is sunk in on both sides and not level to sleep on. A person has to straddle the middle ridge to sleep comfortably. Kihei is wonderful with plentiful beaches, good places to eat and nice friendly service. The condo is a 3 but Kihei is a 5.
